daaniya : you are now a lot more understanding of what i do. when i pull out the camera for the millionth time, you are patient with me so i can get the shot. there was a time when you would protest and say “no pictures, mummy,” but things have changed. for now at least. i’m not going to kid myself and think it will never change again, but i appreciate you letting me document a little. you are one of my most favorite subjects.
niyya : you are my sweet little one. i like when you sit on my lap and rest your head on my chest. that is the best ever. the way you suck your thumb is tres cute too. let’s stay close forever.

i’ve been following a few other moms’ 52 projects and think i’m going to adopt one such moms method of talking to her daughter in each of her weekly portrait posts. i speak to you on all of the rest of my posts, but this…this capturing of moments, of time, of their little persons, is all for them. i want them to be able to look back and know what they were like and how i felt about them when they were this small. as always, you are more than welcome to follow along. so feel free!
