N IS FOR NIYYA

LIFE / N IS FOR NIYYA / tahsin, the good.

yes, i admit i have been MIA for a bit. well actually more than a bit. longer than ive had my blog, bit. anyways im here now and that’s all that counts, right?

and not to lay blame anywhere or on anyone, but the reason for my absence is this little delicious, sweet, sweet bundle of squealing joy.

we named her niyya. and she is, in my totally biased opinion, mashAllah the sweetest little baby i know.

this was the announcement i had prepared before my delivery. we had names picked out for both boy or girl and announcements for each at the ready ’cause im crazy like that.

so tell me, how could i not devote my time, energy and love to her precious first few months of life? i am honestly so inspired and impressed with all the moms i follow who were able to manage their blog, work and lifestyle so quickly after babies this year. much respect to monika, monica, anna, and james to name a few.

niyya is coming on to almost five months now, and we are in a good place alhamdulillah. the first three months were tough, ill admit. adjusting to life with a newborn is one thing, then add in a toddler and you can just imagine how our household has been running. #2under2 is tricky, but i think we made it out of some pretty rough moments with our heads and hearts intact and at the end of the day we have two special baby girls who we live and breathe for.

daani has from the start adjusted really well to our new addition. she is doting, caring and considerate of her little sister and it’s just really nice to know that they will always have each other. it really warms my heart, haha.
