IT WAS A GOOD DAY / 1

the blog has taken a backseat lately so i could take a front seat on life and some other projects that have been pressing. a few weeks back i launched my online shop, light + good, and last weekend i held my first mobile photography workshop! i guess i have been busy laying foundation for my dream house. i’m happy to say that slowly but surely things are starting to take shape. and im excited about that!

but i’ve neglected this space and that’s no good considering my intentions for it. so here i am, here i am.

i had a much-needed afternoon with a girlfriend today. she’s in a pretty similar situation to me in that she’s a mama to two young babies. she has this calm about her amidst her own chaotic life (because seriously, whose life isn’t chaotic these days?) and it just rubbed off on me. sometimes i get over taken by what’s going on around me and all that i want to do, and get a little excited (in the good ways and not so good ways too.) and sometimes my self-imposed stresses get me down. i know it’s natural, it’s part of the ebb and flow of life.

but after this afternoon, i feel refreshed and recharged. i realize more and more how much i need my girl time. me time and mase time are important, but girl time… man, there’s nothing like it. and girl time on the deck with shining sun and a beautiful breeze. that’s like heaven in an afternoon.

then to top it all off the girls and i met with my mom later in the day to go pick some wild lilacs. i just love their fragrance. being outside. and this time of year.

what were you up to today?

i have rainbows in my clouds.

and, the light is always there.
