SHOW LOVE / NYC BALLET x JR

SHOW LOVE / NYC BALLET x JR / tahsin, the good.

you know, the world is a small place with the internet. i’m so thankful for that because with the steady stream of visuals, stories, and experiences, i am for the most part creatively satisfied. i know that seeing live with my eyes, and feeling with my hands trumps any computer screen, but circumstance and situation don’t allow me to travel the globe literally to see all the sights i want to see and meet all the people i want to meet. so here is where i’ll post about exhibits, shows, performances, stores, people, places and things that i want to show love to.

first up is what i can only describe as a unique opportunity to witness two very powerful forms of art - ballet and photography. it’s a collaboration between the new york city ballet and jr, a pretty dope french artist known widely for the inside out project, as the second installation of their acclaimed annual art series.

if i was in new york right now this is the show i would go to. i really want to go to the ballet and if it’s not obvious by now, i am enamoured with photography. it’s a complete steal too; every seat in the house is just $29. check this link for show times and this for a behind the scenes look at jr and his process.

if the show is anything like the above picture i got off his instagram, which by the way is a great behind the scenes access pass to his work, then any attendee is going to be more than pleased.

check it out, will ya?
