a portrait of my daughters, once a week, every week, in 2014.”
daaniya : she finds the most comfort in life in her papa’s lap reading a book together. thankfully for her, this activity, her safe place, happens every day.
niyya : my little one had a very rough week. we all did, sick with fevers and colds, but i think she bore the brunt of it. thankfully, she is feeling much better now, back to her usual self. this was taken after nursing her and having some quality one on one time together in my lap.
i used to love reading about signs when i was younger. mostly my own sign, so i could figure myself out a bit, but also others. people i liked, who i may be compatible with, who to steer clear of, you know, the usual. and i was not about the daily or monthly horoscopes, more the general traits and characteristics of astrological signs. i’m a pisces - the eternal dreamer. and for the most part, i fit my sign to a tee.
i never really thought about looking into my children’s signs to learn more about their character. i guess i figured i would learn as i go. however, a friend of mine casually mentioned how she reads about her sons sign so she can be the best for him and his particular way. i am a firm believer in doing that already, as daani is unique and needs in her own unique ways, i just never thought to get insight into their personality in this way. needless to say, i am intrigued and have since done a little digging! it’s really amazing how true some of it is! check out this site for baby specific characteristics and this for a more general sign summary. and if you’re really geeked make a free birth chart for an in depth look into yourself or child.
