i’m asking for things; specific things and vague, all-encompassing things, these days. i know my prayers, and your prayers for that matter, are heard. i have faith in that. so i’m being more conscious of how and what i pray for. its really so reawrding and encouraging when your prayers are answered. its like, yeah! he heard me! and, i asked right.

it’s a daily thing, conversation with god. at least it should be. i’m striving towards that. so i’m keeping my prayers simple. like talking to my best friend. i’ve made decisions this year that will lead me in a different direction professionally than before, but at the same time lead me in the direction i’ve always been on. if that makes sense. i feel more in tune with my heart and what i want. i think this comes with age. i think it comes with really knowing myself. yet, still i ask for guidance. i ask that i am making the right choices. for myself and for my family. i pray to be on the right path, the one that has been intended for me, and to not get distracted amidst all the chaos. because for me, that is so easy to do.

today this is my prayer and insha’allah it is heard.
