we have been wanting to wear this sweater dress for a while now. it was previously loved and worn by ayah and for the longest time it just sat in the closet. it was, and is, too long. thank god for the husband who dresses daani some mornings without any bias for the clothes. he put this on her not thinking it was too long or anything and i just quickly stlyed it with this scarf from my drawer to make it work. with two little ones, there’s not much time for wardrobe changes! we just roll with it. and now this outfit is in the rotation (yes, we have a rotation. its easier that way, don’t ask!)

also daani is soooo in love with her baby katia. shes playing with her right now as i type. taking her to candyland, and mosque, for walk, feeding her, changing her diapers. you name it. whatever a mama does for her baby, she does for katia. that’s love, though.

i rarely buy things for myself these days. clothes-wise i prefer to shop for the girls. i have some basics that i repeat pretty often. my mom-look this winter has been ripped denim with slogan sweatshirts. bas, that’s it. i mix it up with my hijab and a few accessories here and there, but some days i just don’t have the time to pick out a cool outfit. that’s a luxury i currently can’t afford. the other thing is mostly, i’m just hanging out with the girls on the floor playing. we do this with friends, family or on our own. i am always on the floor! so, truthfully comfort is key and this is my style at this time. i’m sure it will evolve and change as things eventually change in this house and with my role as a mother. as for now, i’m cool with my look. and i thank god for all the fun sweatshirt available these days. check some of my current faves here and here.
